URL or text details

Paste the complete link, or enter any text. We keep it exactly as entered.

Advanced settings

M is the default for everyday use. Q or H adds recovery for dirt or damage, but can make the pattern denser. Approximate recovery rates refer to codewords, not an area you can cover. Keep the white border of at least four modules and test your print.

Leave version and mask on Auto unless a specification requires them. Auto selects the smallest version that fits. Versions 1-40 control the module grid. Masks 0-7 change its pattern, not its content. Content is limited to 2,000 UTF-8 bytes, and must also fit the selected version and correction level.

Your content stays in this browser.

PNG for everyday use. SVG stays sharp at any print size.

About your QR code

Which content type should I choose?

URL or text keeps what you enter unchanged. Wi-Fi prepares network details. Email, phone and SMS prepare an action in a compatible app. Contact creates a vCard, Location uses coordinates, and Calendar event creates an iCalendar event. Reader support varies, so test the action on the devices you expect to use.

Can a QR code contain an image or PDF?

Choose File link for an image, PDF or other file's direct web address. The file needs to be hosted elsewhere and accessible to the people scanning it. A traditional QR code has limited data capacity. This tool does not embed the file, upload it or add a redirect service.

What do error correction, version and mask mean?

L, M, Q and H offer increasing data recovery with less room for content at the same version. A version is the grid size, from 21 x 21 modules at version 1 to 177 x 177 at version 40. The mask balances dark and light patterns. Auto chooses a fitting version and a mask. The white border always keeps at least four modules. See DENSO WAVE's correction guideand version guide.

Will my QR code expire?

The content is stored directly in the QR pattern. There is no trial, subscription or VINASIG redirect to keep active. A linked website can still move, expire or go offline. Editing a static code requires creating and sharing a new image.

Before you print

Scan the downloaded image from another device and test a sample at its final printed size. Keep the white border. Shorter links make simpler codes, and black on white gives strong contrast.

What stays private?

Generation runs on your device. We do not upload your content, save a history, set app cookies or add scan tracking. Website hosting still receives normal page requests. The code itself contains your content, so share sensitive codes with care.
